Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
Kampala, Uganda (Hybrid / Remote Option) · Full-Time
Role Overview
Lead technical design and implementation of modern web platforms, distributed databases, and customer self-service portals using Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build resilient web applications and micro-services with strict type safety.
- Lead code reviews, enforce WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate directly with solution architects and client stakeholders during agile sprint cycles.
- Write comprehensive automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- 5+ years of production experience in TypeScript, React / Next.js, and Node.js.
- Strong proficiency in relational database modeling (PostgreSQL) and schema migration.
- Demonstrated experience building secure REST / GraphQL APIs with robust authentication (OAuth, JWT).
- Firm grasp of Web Standards, CSS layout without UI kit bloat, and Core Web Vitals optimization.
