Cloud Systems & Cybersecurity Engineer

Role Overview
Design, harden, and monitor high-availability cloud infrastructure, automated deployment pipelines, and edge network security across client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Cloudflare Workers, edge routing, content security headers, and web security rules.
- Perform periodic vulnerability assessments, penetration audits, and dependency scans.
- Maintain automated backup verification and disaster recovery drill procedures.
- Support client incident response and availability monitoring (24/7 alerting).
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing Linux cloud environments and serverless architectures.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols, TLS 1.3, DNS, and HTTP security headers.
- Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and automated deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with Uganda Data Protection laws and international security standards.
